A Message from the Principal / Un mensaje de la directora
As this school year comes to a close, I want to thank all of the Naval Avenue families for your support. This year, we have watched a new PTA be formed and start hosting activities and fundraising projects. We have also had the chance to meet and visit with many of you at our family events. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions you have provided.
I hope that you are able to join us for the picnic on Wednesday, June 18th at 11:45. Sack lunches will be provided for students, but you are welcome to bring your own food for them (and you) as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you and your students and I am looking forward to another year with this great community.

Al finalizar este año escolar, quiero agradecer a todas las familias de Naval Avenue por su apoyo. Hemos presenciado la formación de una nueva Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA) y el inicio de actividades y proyectos de recaudación de fondos. También hemos tenido la oportunidad de conocer y visitar a muchos de ustedes en nuestros eventos familiares. Agradecemos sus comentarios y sugerencias.

Summer Learning Opportunities: For the summer of 2025, the Bremerton School District will offer summer learning opportunities for high school students to make-up and complete credits. We are also compiling information about summer learning opportunities for all ages on our website.

Garden Club Come to A Close...Summer Journal Challenge!
Since March 20, interested students have joined dedicated volunteers in the school garden to learn about soil, planting, pollinators and much more. On June 12, Garden Club members were invited to a year-end celebration enjoying treats inspired by what is growing in the garden! Your student may have come home with some garden inspired recipes, and a garden journal. Our challenge: continue to explore, observe and record what they see around them this summer and bring back their observations in the fall when Garden Club resumes. Coloring, drawing, poetry, all encouraged! We had an outstanding group of students participate and thank them for being respectful, curious, and engaged. Interested parents and their students also have the opportunity to assist with watering, weeding and harvesting this summer. El Club de Jardinería llega a su fin... ¡Desafío de Diario de Verano!
Desde el 20 de marzo, los estudiantes interesados se han unido a los voluntarios dedicados en el huerto escolar para aprender sobre la tierra, la siembra, los polinizadores y mucho más. El 12 de junio, los miembros del Club de Jardinería fueron invitados a una celebración de fin de año donde disfrutaron de delicias inspiradas en lo que crece en el huerto. Puede que su estudiante haya regresado a casa con algunas recetas inspiradas en la huerta y un diario de jardinería. Nuestro desafío: continuar explorando, observando y registrando lo que ven a su alrededor este verano y traer sus observaciones en otoño, cuando se reanude el Club de Jardinería. ¡Colorear, dibujar, poesía, todo lo animamos! Tuvimos un grupo excepcional de estudiantes que participaron y les agradecemos su respeto, curiosidad y participación. Los padres interesados y sus estudiantes también tienen la oportunidad de ayudar con el riego, el deshierbe y la cosecha este verano. - If you would like to volunteer, please contact the office for the volunteer clearance form.

6/13 @3:15: 5th Grade Promotion Walk
- We warmly welcome family, friends, and community members to attend this event.
- You will not be entering the school. Please line up in the front pick-up area of the school (similar to the Halloween parade). Students will walk from the Kindergarten end to the 5th grade end of the school. Feel free to spread out and make some noise for your 5th graders!
