Korene Calderwood

Ms. Calderwood has dedicated her career to serving students and educators, with experience spanning multiple roles in the Bremerton School District, including first grade teacher, Title I teacher, Instructional Coach, School Site Multilingual Learner Coordinator, and, since 2014, principal. Prior to joining Bremerton, she taught as a bilingual kindergarten teacher and a Structured English Immersion first and second grade teacher in the San Bernardino City Unified School District.
Ms. Calderwood is passionate about supporting teachers and students, ensuring every student receives what they need to thrive. A strong believer in collaboration, Ms. Calderwood values the powerful impact a united school team can have on student learning and school culture, and she embraces each school year as an exciting opportunity to grow, learn, and lead together.
