• In Math, we are working on our multiplication facts and practicing lots. Learning about arrays, tape diagrams and equal group drawings. 
• In ELA, we have started small groups and are working on identifying key details in a story, and recalling facts. 
• For social emotional learning (SEL), we have been working on identifying other people's feelings and empathy and knowing when to take a break. Next week, we will be starting bullying prevention lessons with the school counselor.

• In ELA, students continue learning how to write a personal narrative. We will share their stories at conferences.
• In Math, we are moving into the subtraction part of our unit. We subtract numbers within a million. A focus will be on solving word problems, including multi-step word problems. We are also learning how to round numbers to larger place values (up to the hundred thousands). 
• Our SEL lesson this week is on being assertive. The focus for the month is Responsibility.
